Background
The Young Music Society Summer School was started by Judith Clingan in 1968 as a non-residential music school for children. It has been held in various locations every January since then. The Society has also run smaller schools during other school holidays.

Summer School
The society runs a Summer Music School in January each year. It is designed to be a fun holiday program for the students involved. The Junior School is centred on “home room” activities and also includes choir, beginner instrument and dancing. The Senior School operates like a high school with every child having his or her chosen curriculum.
The 2013 Summer School will run from January 7 to January 13 inclusive.

Musical Instrument Hire
The Society owns a large range of musical instruments which are available for hire.
